A drier day

Its been a better day here its been cold and cloudy  but at least it was dry  we got to go for a walk along the canal and at one point you could feel rain in the air but   not for long it was really nice to get out after a few days at home, We stopped  so Chris could feed the swans geese and ducks,  they know him now and quite happy to feed from his hand he says the Canada geese are much gentler than the swans  who has nipped his fingers a few times but  it keeps him happy lol.
When we got to the beginning of the canal there was someone fishing and trying to  get the swans away from him pushing them with his net which wasn't nice we went a bit further along and once they saw food came along to where we were along with about eight Canada geese and a load of ducks all hoping for some treats.  Those Canada geese are so noisy lol,
I found another painted stone on the bench close to where we stopped the photo was blurred  but it had a daisy painted on it with Be happy written on it, we hid it further along our walk.
The heron was hiding in the marshes to far for the lens I had on my camera,  I really need to get on and use the new one. We  didn't see the robin but could hear it singing away up in a fir tree I don't recognise many bird songs  but do know the robin and blackbird ,
when we first moved here the robin would sit in the tree just over the fence  and sing away you could hear him quite clearly and see him until the leaves hid him but after a bad thunder storm one night  it stopped and we didn't see him again for a long time, don't know if the storm had harmed him, I hope he was ok but miss  hearing him singing now. We do have a robin come into the garden again now but don't think its the same one never hear it singing like we used too,
We saw some snowdrops primroses and forget-me-nots along the lane on our way to Bude today  its a bit early but they do seem to be a lot earlier now than they used to be, I love all the spring flowers  goggle says 38 days to spring that will be so nice,
The pink  Camellia  in the garden has loads of buds on it wont be long til its in flower by the looks of it, the red one always seems to be much later
lets see what photos I can find to share,

Thank you for stopping by take care and stay safe x

  1. Your photos are wonderful. Gosh, your weather must be a bit warmer than ours. We don't have any flowers poking up through the ground this early in the year. Your flowers are all looking beautiful. Today we are having lots of rain, but we need it to fill our ponds and reservoirs. I guess it's a great day to crochet. hahaha. You have a great day, hugs, Edna B.
